NIIMBL invites members to submit an abstract for a poster presentation planned for the 2023 National Meeting being held at the Capital Hilton, June 27- 29, 2023. The NIIMBL National Meeting is a members-only hybrid event designed to drive substantive and meaningful discussions on topics relevant to the challenges facing the biomanufacturing community with a goal of moving the needle towards innovation and change.
The National Meeting program will be comprised of poster presentation sessions where our community can highlight projects, programs and innovative technologies in a digital format. The poster presentations will be positioned around high-quality presentations by invited senior thought leaders as well as invited plenary talks around key topics of interest to the community. Workshops will be interspersed to provide a deeper dive into a given topic.
Poster submitters should provide an abstract that aligns with one of the categories below:
General Technical Poster - a poster presentation highlighting innovative technologies and case studies that address the challenges and needs of the biomanufacturing community and stimulate conversations around innovation and change. These topics might include purification of complex proteins, manufacturing of viral vectors and vaccines, novel approaches to cell therapies, and big data applications.
NIIMBL Project or Program Poster (by invitation only) - a poster presentation highlighting specified NIIMBL projects, and NIIMBL Programs. Invitations for this poster presentation type will be sent to each open NIIMBL Project needing to fulfill their contractual agreement of a presentation at the National Meeting and to NIIMBL program leads. Respective project PIs will receive an invitation from Ruben Carbonell, NIIMBL Poster Chair.
Please be sure to identify your poster title beginning with the Project ID #. The project team may collaborate on the submission of the poster electronically, but the principal investigator much present the poster. I
To ensure a diverse and engaged community of participants, NIIMBL will select posters based on overall quality, diversity of focus, and alignment with the meeting program. Following last year's successful format, accepted posters will be displayed on monitors using the ePosterboards digital platform. Additionally, poster presenters will be invited to give a Lightning Talk (a short pitch).
Please note: Graduate students may not present the poster or attend the National Meeting.
The deadline for submission is March 13, 2023, 11:59 PM. Acceptances will be announced mid-April. All questions can be directed to Ruben Carbonell, NIIMBL National Meeting Program Chair, at communications@niimbl.org
