NIIMBL Faculty Fellows: A Sabbatical and Industry Program

The intent of NIIMBL’s Faculty Fellows program is to create a diverse and engaged community of academics that can work collaboratively and effectively with industry and represent a variety of disciplines, backgrounds, and institutions. NIIMBL Faculty Fellows will gain valuable experience and exposure to state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical manufacturing, learn about real-world industry challenges, seed new industry-academic partnerships, and strengthen the overall member community.

NIIMBL eXperience Program 2026

The NIIMBL eXperience is an inclusive week-long immersion program designed to introduce you to biopharmaceutical careers. Through hands-on learning and personal interactions, you will take away a deep understanding of how the industry and federal agencies work together to develop and manufacture life-saving medicines. Plus, you will gain direct insight into education and training pathways that will help you reach your career goals! Now in its eighth year, the NIIMBL eXperience has helped students begin their career journeys by connecting them to internships at the world’s leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing companies including Merck, Genentech, and Millipore Sigma. The program is open to all college students who are U.S. citizens residing in the United States, completing their first or second year of study, and actively enrolled in a degree program.

2026 NIIMBL National Meeting Call for General Technical Presentation Abstracts

NIIMBL invites members to submit an abstract for a General Technical presentation planned for the National Meeting being held at the Capital Hilton, June 23-25, 2026. Why Submit an Abstract for a Presentation? - Visibility: Gain recognition for your work by presenting to an audience of industry leaders, researchers, and peers. - Networking: Connect with other experts in the field, exchange ideas, and form valuable collaborations. - Impact: Contribute to the advancement of biomanufacturing by sharing your innovative solutions and insights. The NIIMBL National Meeting is a members-only hybrid event designed to facilitate substantive and meaningful discussions on topics relevant to the challenges facing the biomanufacturing community with a goal of driving innovation and change. To ensure an engaged community of participants, NIIMBL will select posters based on overall quality, variety of topics, and alignment with the meeting program. Following last year's successful format, accepted posters will be displayed digitally on monitors provided. A Principal Investigator identified as the "Poster Presenter" in this submission will be required to attend the National Meeting, deliver a one-minute quick pitch and present the poster. Please note: Neither post-doctoral nor graduate students may present the poster nor attend the National Meeting in-person; virtual attendance is contingent on signing the NDA found in the graduate student registration form.
